Abstract:The DFSA has warned investors about a scam using fake websites, emails, and trading platforms that misuse the identity of a DFSA-authorized firm and impersonate the regulator.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority has issued a warning over a scam involving fake websites, email addresses, and an online trading platform that misuse the identity of a DFSA-authorized company.
According to the regulator, the operators behind the scheme used the name of a legitimate firm without permission. They also copied the firms Dubai International Financial Centre address and DFSA license number, creating the impression that the website and trading platform were connected to an authorized business.
The companys name was also used in the terms and conditions published on the fake website.
ContentsFake DFSA Identity Used to Support the Scheme
The DFSA said the scammers also impersonated the regulator itself.
They used the email address support@dfsafinance.com and displayed a fake DFSA digital seal as part of the scheme. The regulator stated that this email address is not connected to the DFSA.
It also stressed that the DFSA does not ask investors to make advance payments in relation to investments made through authorized firms.
Investors Told Not to Respond or Transfer Funds
The DFSA urged the public not to respond to any communication linked to the scam and not to send money to anyone involved.
Investors were advised to check the identity of firms and authorized individuals through the DFSA public register before dealing with any platform. Suspicious emails, websites, or requests for payment should be reported to the regulator.
The warning comes as fake trading websites continue to use real company names, license numbers, and regulatory references to make unauthorized platforms appear legitimate.
